Biljana Kašić was born in 1953 in Split, Croatia. She earned a PhD in political sciences in Zagreb and her professional path and scholarly work include history, sociology and interdisciplinary studies like feminist and post-colonial theories, cultural studies and gender studies. She teaches at several universities in Croatia and abroad and has taken part in the establishment of the Centre for Women’s Studies in Zagreb, where she teaches a course. Next to “epistemological activism,” she cares about activism in the field of women’s rights, justice and culture of non-violence.
