Friederike Gösweiner was born in 1980 in Rum, Austria. He graduated in German language and political sciences in Innsbruck with a thesis on loneliness in contemporary German literature. A literary critic with leading media (Die Presse, Literatur & Kritik, Literaturkritik.de). Her first novel Traurige Freiheit (2016) sparked a lot of attention: “The author portrays her protagonists drastically, but with great sensitivity, displaying exceptional linguistic prowess, without gliding into sentimentality and missing the right questions.”
