Vladimir Tabašević
Vladimir Tabašević was born in 1986 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He studied philosophy in Belgrade, where he lives and works as a professional writer. He published several poetry collections and prose books Tiho teče Misisipi, Pa kao i Zabluda Svetog Sebastijana. In the background of his texts is a deliberate, carefully devised system of rhetoric doubts serving as a cornerstone to the storyline. The author is occupied with the link between politics and literature, as well as with the correlation between language and thinking and memory. He does not hide the need “to add socio-political engagement to his poetics. Not in propaganda style. I want to articulate the ideas I deem important, like a critique of the meritocratic myth and other neoliberal narratives, in a literarily sustainable way.”
