Theme: Liberty


This year’s Fair(y) mostly speaks of Freedom – freedom connects many of the books to be presented, the discussions are conceived in a way to open the windows from literary worlds onto the meanings of its magma, which brought us to the domain of philosophy, whether we wanted it or not. For a conversation about freedom in the general world we share to be even be suggested ‘with justification’, one should trust one’s own reasons, which is not an easy thing to do. Nevertheless, the time we have documented during the past two decades in Istria as a European cultural chronometer, perhaps arrhythmic but with a clear objective, gives us a sense of freedom to examine libertarianism and wonder, like our elders, is the pledge not to renounce freedom at any cost only a mythical figure of speech or, perhaps, something more, something personal and special.
