Elizabeta Šeleva was born in 1961 in Ohrid, Macedonia. A university professor of literature in Skopje. She focuses on literary criticism, theory of culture, gender studies, translation and editing. The author of over 200 scientific papers and essays and six books (Komparativna poetika – Postmodernizam u makedonskoj prozi, Od dijalogizma do intertekstualnosti and Zatvorenici dana). A guest lecturer at the Inter-university Centre in Dubrovnik and at the political sciences in Belgrade. A former manager of the Macedonian Cultural Identities Summer School in Ohrid. She is the president of the Board of Director of the international festival Struga Poetry Evenings.
