Robert Alagjozovski
Robert Alagjozovski was born in 1973 in Strumica, Macedonia. He graduated in literary studies and earned a PhD in cultural management in Skopje. When he acted as a minister of culture in the Macedonian cabinet for a year, this consisted a sort of precedent in that part of the world, given that he originated from the independent scene. Although quite occupied with modernisation processes and cultural strategies, he early made a name for himself as an author, translator and editor, substantiating his cultural participation with influential essays and critical elaboration. In literature he is mainly a narrator, and his debut novel (2010) bears the exact same name as the publishing company he launched at the same time – Goten.
