Igor Grbić was born in 1970 in Pula. He graduated in English and Indian languages and literature and obtained a PhD in literature in Zagreb. He attended several residencies in India, focusing on Sanskrit literature and literary theories. He teaches at the University of Pula. His focus is on classic Indian literature, literary theory and, generally, traditional ways of making and understanding art. Next to professional texts, he writes poetry, prose, essays and reviews, and is active as a translator. A winner of Kiklop.
