Ozren Žunec
Ozren Žunec was born in 1950 in Zagreb, Croatia, where he graduated in literature and philosophy and earned a PhD with a thesis on the Greek theory of mimesis. A university professor of sociology. He calls himself “a philosopher, sociologist, reader, translator, cyclist, military school teacher, secret service boss, obsolete warrior and wearer of orthopaedic shoes” “who gave in to versification in his golden years.” Author of several works on the war in Croatia (the books Goli život: socijetalne dimenzije pobune Srba u Hrvatskoj, Rat i društvo – ogledi iz sociologije vojske i rata). The focus of his research interest and teaching practice include the history of philosophy and anthropology (Iskonska narav: Aristofanov govor u Platonovu „Simpoziju“ i Parmenidova dva puta, 2015).
